                             What’s Happening
         
Prayer Walk  
Our churches will be Prayer Walking our county school campuses,
Aug 15 & 16. Call the office for more information.

BCM  
Due to the Covid-19 Virus, there will be no Baptist Campus Ministries
this Fall.

WMU  
The WMU Assoc Annual Mtg has been cancelled.

NAMB Offering  
Our Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions was during when this Covid-19 began. If you would like to still give to this, you may send it to the State Board of Missions, PO Box 681970, Prattville, AL 36068-1970, and designate it for that.

OCC Shoeboxes
Our Association Office is no longer a drop off location for the Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.

Farill  
Homecoming Sept 13, 10:00 AM, Special Singing, Lunch at 12:00. 
This may change.

Liberty   
Has called Randall Christopher as their pastor.

New Prospect #2  
Has called Garet Rana as their interim pastor. 






      Law Enforcement Appreciation Week
                              August 24-30, 2020
                  ~Invite them to attend your church Aug 30
                  ~Have a special prayer for them Aug 30
                  ~Deliver gift bags
                  ~Provide snacks or meals

                 Christmas Backpacks

                         
      The association will collect Christmas Backpacks again
     this year. They will be distributed through compassion
          ministry sites & church plants in at least 4 states
                           in December around Christmas.

              *Choose boy or girl and an age 2-17
              *Start with a new backpack
              *Fill with new gifts: toys & games, art
               supplies, hygiene items, a Bible, etc
              *Bring to the Assoc Office by Oct 29.
              *Please do not include easily crushed
               items, perishable food, nuts, or knives.

   *If you can't find a new Bible, we will try to have some
    here at the office.

                 Our Association Goal is 200 backpacks.
  
       The last day to bring to the Assoc Office is Oct 29.

 

 

 

Food Pounding for the     
     Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes   

         

12,820 lbs of food was delivered in March to the Oxford Children's Homes, along with $2,152.00 given in gift cards and money.  May God bless each that gave to this ministry.  In such a time as we have been in, I know these groceries were a blessing!
  
  

                


                           

Cherokee Baptist Helping Hands Ministry

  “To be the hands and feet of Jesus, serving our community
          with financial assistance and spiritual needs.”

           
This new ministry is located in the basement of the Assoc Office.
Office hours are:
Tuesday - Thursday, 9:00-11:30 AM & 1:00-3:30 PM,
by appointment only.

Baptist Campus Ministries

(Not meeting at the present time)

This year we begin our second decade of ministering to the students at Gadsden State, Cherokee. To God be the glory for the great things that have happened through this ministry and the continued support of our churches. BCM meets each Wednesday at 10:45 AM for lunch and a time of devotion.

Please continue to pray for Joe, Susan, and Deborah as they lead this outstanding ministry. Please consider how your church can be involved by serving lunch for the students, as well as providing financial support to this ministry.
